Clozapine eLearning Platform 

  • This platform has been designed to support healthcare professionals directly involved in caring for patients being treated with clozapine on a day to day basis.
  • The course consists of 10 fully referenced modules covering all aspects of clozapine treatments ranging from the background of schizophrenia and clozapine, to the management of side effects and an exploration of the various treatment models and service provisions.
  • Learnings are consolidated by a short test at the end of each module. In addition to this, module 10 rounds off the course with a final test covering all the modules plus a section entitled ‘Theory into Practice’ which allows the students to test their knowledge by applying it to a number of case studies.
  • Students will receive a certificate upon completion of the course and organisations are provided with a quarterly report which enables them to track the progress of their staff.

These resources are a must for healthcare professionals working directly with clozapine patients in a clinical environment. It has been developed by  HORIBA UK, which is part of a global organisation specialising in designing, developing and distributing in-vitro diagnostic systems mainly destined for biological analysis in medical laboratories and Point of Care settings.

External Quality Assessment – Coming Soon!

This resource is a must for healthcare professionals working directly with clozapine patients in a Point of Care clinic environment. It has been developed by UK NEQAS, which is an independent, not-for-profit consortium of external quality assessment schemes based in the UK but providing services to diagnostic laboratories, assay manufacturers and near-patient testing schemes worldwide. 

DOAS – ‘Do Once and Share’

Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) is a national programme designed to improve the quality of care within the NHS by reducing unwarranted variations. DOAS aims to support this initiative by providing a secure, central hub for treatment providers to drive ‘best practice’ by sharing local policies, procedures, and guidelines on various aspects of clozapine management from around the United Kingdom.
